The treatment of artifacts often includes the preparation
of a rehousing or boxing unit as options for a full mount.
Passive Mounts
Passive mounts are
where the artifact rest on a prepared panel without
stitching. For safe handling a custom made lid is created,
secured with Velcro tabs. Both the padded lid and mount
provide gentle pressure to support the artifact during
movement.
