After treatment
The doll's silk clothing had become quite deteriorated with
numerous slits and weak areas. In additional the doll
develop surface mold from being in an environment of high
relative humidity. Once the mold was denatured, the silk
cloths were cleaned and stabilized. A custom storage box to
hold the doll and its accessories was constructed from
acid-free board to fit inside the existing doll box.
