The drum face was stabilize for an exhibition at the Perinton Historical Society. The front and back surfaces of the drum were cleaned and the surface of the paint was consolidated. Creases were lessened with overall humidification and tears in the skin were secured. The skin was then attached to the original wooden rim with a series of tabs. The areas of loss was inpainted concentrating with the black shadow of the letters.
