Treatments were performed on unusual suite of Charles X, ormolu mounted mother of pearl veneered sofa and chairs. The primary treatment was a non-invasive replacement of the light-damaged upholstery fabric with reproduction fabric reflective of the period during which the chairs were being used by Ms. Duke. This is one in a series of restoration upholstery projects that came from the collection of Doris Duke, Rough Point of Newport, RI.
