Before and after treatment.
An item-by-item survey was performed to assess the condition of the Buffalo & Erie County Historical Society collections. Items such as these moccasins were chosen based on overall condition and storage needs. The treatment included surface cleaning of the leather and glass beads, stabilization of areas of loss, bead loss stabilization and new storage supports. These moccasins will be included in the upcoming exhibit Trail of Red Jacket.
