Situations
arise where a new approach to preservation and
stabiliataion is necessary. The small group of four Civil
War era flags is such a case. The flags were nailed to the
inside of an oak paneled wall cavity and sealed tight. The
site had no place for large mounts to fully support the
flags on. A three-dimensional mount was created that the
encapsulated flag was wrapped around. The orientation of
the flag was to mimic the original.
